My Last Gig

In January, I was launching my own freelance media career covering events through video and showcasing it on my blog and across all my social media channels. Covid put a halt to that but in the meantime I wanted to take a look back at one of my last gigs.

Back in February, which seems like a lifetime ago now, I covered Radio Days Ireland which is a two day conference packed with amazing guest speakers who are experts in their respective fields. Those attending enjoyed insights about the challenges that we face while working in radio, how to overcome them and what the future of radio looks like. Never did we think that radio would face the challenges that they face now such as the current global pandemic!

Take a listen to some of the experts who attended from radio stations across Ireland and the UK. Radio is keeping you informed and entertained during this pandemic so be sure to tune into your local radio station.

Featuring: Gabrielle Cummins, CEO of Beat 102 103 and Chairperson of Choose Radio. Damian Scott, Creative Consultant at Wordfood. Lena Murphy, Chairperson of Learning Waves. Paul Sheridan, BBC Northern Ireland. Emma Hill, Cork’s Red FM. Niall Power, Beat 102 103. Jacki Ascough, Spirit Radio.
